Why would I want a vape carrier oil?
The BASE™ solves a long standing need people have been requesting for over a decade. Unlike THC distillate that does not crystalize, formulating vapes with cannabinoids like CBD, CBG, CBN, THCa, etc., limits the potency those formulas can achieve before they crash-out. Although terpenes and diluents like The CUT® can help combat this, it's not enough. One can only use so much terpenes before the formula becomes too "terp heavy". This leaves a large amount of headspace that still needs to be filled with something. While the market has moved away from carriers like MCT, and forbidden dangerous ingredients like PG, VG, PEG, VEA, Squalene/Squalane, a gap remains; The BASE™ fills that gap.
How to use The BASE™
Specifically designed to simplify the vape formulation process, The BASE™ is a blend of non-aromatic cannabis-centric terpenes, lipids, and natural esters derived from organic fruits. The BASE™ utilizes a significantly reduced total terpene %, softening the overall profile and allowing it to be safely used at higher concentrations than a pure terpene diluent product.
Formulation example using The BASE™
Our starting active is THCa and in this particular formulation we want this active to be at 50%.
Our formulation contains a blend of cannabis derived terpenes and natural terpene flavors which will make up 10% of this total formula.
For the remainder of this formula, we'll be using 40% of The BASE™. This allows us to fill in the gap without adding more terpenes or needing to adjust our active.
